Celebrate World Bicycle Day with Welcome to my garden

Table of Contents

Traveling by bike forces you into a different rhythm. On Wednesday June 3 (World Bicycle Day), we move at the pace of Manon, who pedaled from Brussels toward Tokyo. In the city cinema of Bruges, we will screen her film “Women Don’t Cycle,” which critically examines prevailing stereotypes about women on bikes.

This journey, undertaken with her partner Dries, was more than just an athletic feat; it became the seed for the platform Welcome to My Garden.

After the credits roll, we’ll dive straight into a conversation with Manon and Dries about how months in the saddle shifted their perspective on hospitality. How do you slow down enough to make genuine contact? And how do we make adventurous travel more accessible to everyone?

Looking for more inspiration? We will wrap up the evening with a drink during a mini travel café.

You can register for the event on the event page of Wegwijzer vzw.

See you there! 🚲
